More rubber...faster laps!

Greetings racers, I want to thank everyone for their patience while we try our best to re-open our doors. However, there are a few issues that need to be addressed still.

While we are waiting, the staff have been working to make the track sticky again. After not being used for 3mth, there has been a huge build up of dust and at first the track was practically undrivable. This past Thurday, the staff were only averaging mid 37's when they were actually able to get in a lap without spinning out

Well, after a bit more driving over the weekend, it got a bit faster with lap times down into the mid 36's. Sure it was improving but far to slick for average drivers (without having to seriously slow down the karts).

Well after spending a few hours yesterday focussing on improving the grip levels, I was able to set a 31.45! Now we are talking! That's only 1.5 seconds off the pace of very good drivers when the track closed.

Now I know I'm a bit rusty too having not driven the track hard in over a year and a half but I would say that average drivers can expect mid 33's at this time.

I will continue working on improving the grip levels today. Stay tuned for updates.
